Kool-Stop disc pads are made of organic materials that are combined and bonded using a resin. While the composition does contain small amounts of metal to enhance the braking formula, the pads are largely organic. They can also be termed semi-metallic. Our tests have shown that our disc brake pads are gentle on the rotor and provide high braking performance throughout the life of the pad.
