Selection of the papers read at the First International Congress of Spanish Architecture, which, organized by the Cervantes Institute in collaboration with the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), was held in Manila in November 2002.
For three days, more than thirty specialists from Malaysia, Indonesia, Macau, France, Holland, the Philippines and Spain analyzed the state of conservation of the architectural heritage of the Philippines.
The publication of the minutes constitutes a new call for attention on the need to protect this unique legacy that forms a substantial part of the cultural heritage of the Filipino people.
