Sparks Fire! Kapha is primarily composed of the water and earth elements, making those with a kapha-predominant constitution or imbalance prone to feeling cold, damp, lethargic, and heavy. To restore balance, Ayurveda recommends warming, drying, lightening, and stimulating foods and therapies.

Kapha Tea combines three varieties of Tulsi or Holy Basil (Krishna, Rama and Vana) a special herb known for its sattvic (mind harmonizing) qualities, and that clears cold and damp. Rooibos is rich in antioxidants that stop free radicals from damaging cells in the body; licorice is an effective expectorant, helping to liquefy mucus and facilitate its discharge from the body; ginger helps to alleviate indigestion and nausea, and cardamom a digestive stimulant that removes kapha from the stomach and the lungs.
