Released By Art & Science International In 2016 as part of the 50th Anniversary series of Action Man Action Figures. Action Man is the genuine movable action figure and we are celebrating one of the most popular figure of all time - The Footballer. The Action Man footballer dates to 1968, when he emerged in the famous England home or more popular away colours - wearing nylon shirt that was not very good at holding it's shape. Within a year or two many famous football clubs and colour combinations were available with woollen more stretchable tops as sets or cards. However they were short lived, but can be considered amongst the rarer of original Action Man sets. The 2016 Footballer revives the look of that period and features a woven badge. The new top is stretch resistant and of a higher quality weave than the original, and the embroidered badge is a new twist. The jersey is labelled as 50th in the neck. The booklet is numbered AM00002 on the cover but is otherwise identical to the 50th Action Soldier's version.
