Coloplast's solution is a unique mixture of ionic silver complex, guluronic acid or high G, and CMC (carboxymethylcellulose), the latter of which is highly absorbent. The presence of silver ions keeps the dressing protected from large amount of harmful microorganisms for a 4-day period. It has a mesh layer with silver nylon that adds wet integrity and gives strength for easy removal when saturated.
