This whip has an antler or staghorn handle.
It has two silver collars with ribbed edges, these are hallmarked London 1945 and stamped with the silversmith's mark "P & B" for Padgett and Braham.

One collar is engraved with the initials "R.W.F.", there are several dents and dings in the collar next to the staghorn, and one dent in the other collar.
The shaft or stock is covered in brown braided leather both between the collars and for the rest of its length.
The whip has a its original stitched leather keeper at its end and a braided leather thong with a red cord lash.
