A wonderfully done graphite and watercolor drawing c, 1850s New England I believe, and I am guessing specifically somewhere not far from me in Ipswich, MA. Wonderfully done horses, and farm houses too, and then three little men with arms raised in various positions engaged in the race, plus little dog chasing after and cow watching too! Notably, three telegraph poles punctuate the landscape--pretty early examples I think, and making this seem all the more like a specific portrait of a specific place at a specific time; indeed, I'd bet with some research one might figure it out exactly.

Drawing measures approx 12" x 9". Graphite and watercolor on paper. Toning and scattered stains as evident, but drawing is strong and clear.
