The German Blue Ram (Mikrogeophagus ramirezi) is a small, vibrantly colored dwarf cichlid prized for its electric blues, golds, and reds. Native to South America, this peaceful species adds both color and personality to a community aquarium.

They typically grow to about 2-3 inches in length, making them one of the smaller cichlids available. German Blue Rams are omnivores, thriving on a diet of high-quality flakes or pellets along with frozen or live foods such as bloodworms and brine shrimp.

They prefer warm water, with an ideal temperature range of 78–85°F. A planted aquarium with plenty of hiding spaces and stable conditions helps them flourish.
