Important Photo Tips

Photo engraving is much like any other type of photo printing or reproducing whereas the quality of the photo is very important to ensure that the finished engraved photo is the highest quality possible. Here are a few things that should be considered when determining if your photo is suitable for engraving:

The resolution of your original photo is crucial to producing a high quality engraving. Custom photo engraving requires photos that have at least 300 DPI resolution. Please be aware that most photos downloaded from Facebook or other similar sites are often downsized to 72 DPI. Although we can sometimes increase the resolution using software the better and higher the original photos resolution the better your photo engraving will be.

A well exposed photo is also equally important. While we can and will adjust the exposure using state of the art photo editing programs like Photoshop, we can only do so much on our end to improve the photo.

In addition, the original photo must be in focus as out of focus photos will not engrave well.

We will work very hard at getting you the best quality engraving as we use the latest and best photo processing software to convert your photo into a file format suitable for engraving. We will do all we can with any photo sent to us but please keep in mind these important requirements to getting the highest quality engraving for your money.
