The Victron Lithium SuperPack 12.8V/60Ah is a self-contained lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery with a built-in Battery Management System (BMS). Product Overview

The SuperPack range differs from Victron's standard Smart Lithium batteries in that the BMS is fully integrated into the battery casing. This removes the need for a separate BMS, external cell balancing wiring or a VE.Bus BMS in the system design. For straightforward installations where a single battery is required, this simplifies both the bill of materials and the installation process considerably.

At 12.8V nominal and 60Ah, this battery delivers around 768Wh of usable capacity. LiFePO4 chemistry allows a much higher depth of discharge than lead-acid, meaning the full rated capacity is genuinely accessible in normal use. The flat discharge curve also means voltage remains stable across the majority of the discharge cycle, which benefits sensitive loads and inverters that are sensitive to voltage sag.

The M6 threaded terminals are suited to ring-terminal cable connections and are compatible with standard battery cabling practices used in marine and vehicle installations. The battery weighs 9.2kg, which is a significant weight saving compared to a 60Ah AGM or flooded lead-acid battery of equivalent capacity.

Installation Notes

Although the integrated BMS simplifies system design, installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician or experienced installer familiar with lithium battery systems. Ensure all cabling is correctly rated for the maximum discharge current and that appropriate fusing is fitted as close to the battery terminal as practicable. The SuperPack is not designed for series connection to achieve higher voltages. Verify compatibility with your charger or solar charge controller before installation, as the charging profile must be set to LiFePO4 parameters. Do not install in a sealed, unventilated enclosure.
