A striking and special vintage ring, we can't resist the charm of this secretive swivel. Inspired by some of the earliest styles of signets going back thousands of years, this gem features a dual-faced ring with a bold monogram on one side and the recognizable square and compass of the Freemasons, a broad fraternal organization dating back to the 14th century.
There's such a special feeling in finding a preloved piece that already has letters or symbols on it that are meaningful to you, that we play pretty fast and loose - maybe it's the first or last initials of you and your lover, or your own in another order, or the initials of a loved one. Maybe you have beloved family members who were masons or are simply drawn to the mystery that surrounds secret societies. No matter what, it will feel sentimental every time it catches your eye.
Very good vintage condition with wear in line with previous use. One side engraved with a monogram for letters LAC (LCA/CAL/CLA/ACL/ALC), reverse engraved with Masonic square and compass and decorated with blue enamel. Swivel rotates smoothly and securely. c1973. Originally manufactured in the UK.
